Q. What does Stunata Mean? A. Stunata - is an Italian slang word which means - Acting crazy which explains the Stunata Customs logo. Going down the road standing on your seat is still considered acting crazy. Some people think just riding a motorcycle is acting crazy depending on where you live. Q. I want to build a bike. How much will you charge me? A. It varies considerately. The fact that it would be done at Stunata Customs saves you some cash right from the start, but it depends on a lot of factors.
Other than re-doing an existing motorcycle the average cost of a ground up build can range from $20,000 and up. Depending what the customer wants, a catalog kit bike is usually the cheapest way. It is usually is the quickest way, because it comes with the most of the parts needed for a build. From our experience any from the ground up build that is done cheaper usually has made in Korea stickers all over most of its parts. Substandard quality parts usually leads to problems in the future. We don't like using junk parts in our builds, because of safety issues. Lastly, customer come backs because of faulty parts cost a business money. Not all kit bikes come with low quality parts, but they are out there in the industry. Q. I want to add a bunch of custom one-off parts to my motorcycle. Can you do that for me? A. Sure we can. You want some custom bars made that fit you? NO PROBLEM! You want some custom pipes built with the look you designed? NO PROBLEM! You get the picture? If you need it done we can make it happen. Q. My motorcycle has been worked on by other shops, but instead of fixing the problem I brought it in for they created a few new ones. Do you shy away from motorcycles that others have got into and tried to fix? A. I've dealt with customers such as yourself who just want to ride, but have the same re-occurring problems with their motorcycle. They bring it to a shop, and it still doesn't seem right or the shop they brought it to can't find the problem. In my many years or experience I have dealt with this type of motorcycle many times. My opinion is that if a customer or a tech doesn't have the experience to fix a problem it is usually cheaper to leave it alone. Nobody knows everything, but I can say I've fixed many motorcycles when others have failed. The fact a motorcycle has been ripped into by someone else doesn't scare me away from the job. If someone has one of these problem motorcycles, and they want it fixed. They can bring it to Stunata Customs so they can go riding again. |
